How to process my license Cancellation?

For mainland licenses, the process usually begins with a newspaper publication informing of the cancellation of the company license. This must be both in English and Arabic. Afterwards, the company must submit the required documents to the Authority in order to be processed.

Meanwhile, free zone entities must first cancel their immigration cards and visas before submitting the required files to complete the license cancellation process.

Mainland License

  • Copy of Dewa Clearance
  • Copy of Du/Etisalat Clearance

Freezone License

Timeline: min. 20 working days
Documents required:

  • Accomplished Application Form
  • Notarized Board Resolution affirming the cancellation of license
  • Certificate of Formation
  • Business License
  • Share Register
  • Memorandum (if applicable)
  • Occupancy Agreement (if applicable)
  • License Cancellation Fee

Offshore License

Timeline: 2-3 working days
